Wanderlust Wednesday: The Local Riverside Part Two
As some of you may have noticed, I love taking photos by the water. I feel that water, whether it’s a lake, the sea, even a puddle, adds a bit of personality to a photo. Sometimes there are ducks and birds, interesting trees, boats, and my favourite: cool reflections. It gives an image that shiny ‘mirror’ look.
You also may have noticed than I am fortunate enough to live in a place where the river Thames runs through the town rather beautifully. It is a majestic place full of colours and character, and as you can see from part one, it is picturesque even on the gloomiest of days.
When I went for a wander by the river last weekend, the sky was looking rather gorgeous. I had my camera on me (obviously) so took advantage of this. Sunset is my favourite time during the day for photos, especially when there’s a few clouds hanging around. This particular afternoon the sky gave me excellent photography opportunities, and I returned with many pretty photos from the outing.
This place is even better during the summer when you can enjoy long evening walks along the peaceful footpath, followed by a drink or four in the nearby pub gardens. What an absolute treat! I can’t wait to take my camera there to capture some stunning summer sunsets.
